Breakfast had standard options for the hotel class, but the breakfast worker (not sure the job title) was not only great at keeping everything stocked, but also consistently offered to make waffles for people and bring it to their table. His personality was exceptionally cheerful and wholesome, and made me want to be a kinder person myself. Wonderful man! The grounds were also gorgeous and extremely well taken care of. Everything was well maintained and manicured. The hotel has a cat that laid around lazily and couldn't decide if it wanted to be inside or outside, but did enjoy pets!

Check in was so easy and the attendant was nice. Our room was PERFECTLY placed with a nice view of the pool. The patio area was absolutely perfect for my husband and I to relax after a night out. Breakfast was great and we met the owner who was also very sweet and attentive. When checking out the new attendant was so friendly. The whole place is so cute and well kept up. My husband and I decided we wi definitely make this a regular spot for our nights/weekends out of the house. Highly recommend.

The property was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was much nicer than the usual buffets. There was a friendly greeter who offered to cook waffles (which were delicious) and helped with finding all the various offerings, which included eggs, sausage, fruits, yogurt, juices, cinnamon rolls, etc and newspapers! There was a lovely courtyard, and the lobby had a lot of travel information as well as the Texas State Travel Guide available.

The room was very clean as other reviews mentioned. I love a clean room. That made my two night stay pleasant. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The location was also great, it’s right off I45 and near many places to eat. We were there for a racing event at the Texas Motorplex which is 10 minutes away. Perfect!

This is my go to hotel when I visit Ennis. It is family owned and they really care about their guests. Breakfast is wonderful. Nice lighted patio. Comfortable bed, clean rooms, in a safe area. Bonus: Shadow, the cat, roams the property and sometimes naps on the sofa in the lobby :)
